A few things I've found matter more than the headline model rankings. Free tiers generally train on your data unless you change the settings, paid tiers usually don't, and that difference matters more than the price gap. Model rankings also change every quarter, so choosing on ecosystem fit and data governance is more durable than choosing on this month's benchmark. And a second opinion from a different model is one of the simplest quality controls you can put in place: draft in one, check in another, it takes 30 seconds.
